I'll love you forever, I'll miss you for always

Today was surreal, liggul, our family cat of 12 years a month away from her 13 birthday had to be put to sleep this morning. She developed something known as saddle thrombosis, it's googable if you're wanting to know what that is. She was in too much pain and treatment especially at her age was unlikely to be successful.

Both mum and I were with her and we brought her home and buried her in her favourite spot in the back garden, she'll like it there.

Happened so suddenly and with no warning. For those of you who have lost an animal, you'll know what I mean when I say it's like losing a member of your family, the one you always liked best.

I'm a bit zoned out now so here, have pictures:












Yes she liked being held as a baby, she was the sweetest cat.

I may have to do this all again on Friday with Mousie v_v

Thank you, it helped a lot knowing that sometimes it really is the only decision that can be made.

She was so beautiful and friendly to everyone, today was the first day in her life she was called feisty, poor thing was so scared and in pain, it's definitely better for her this way.

Mousie is on medication at the moment, she hasn't shown improvement, but I'm still hoping.

Thank you *hugs* I consider us the lucky ones, she chose us after all, well she chose my mum at the cat rescue centre all those years ago, by sitting on top of her head. She was a daft creature :3

Oh I understand. A few months ago we put to sleep our 15 year old german Shepard to sleep. She was suffering a lot, she couldn't get up and was always crying. We also buried her in our back yard. Though you and you mom were really brave, me and my mom couldn't be there when it happened so we left my dad with her alone. T.T

*huggles tight* I'm so sorry for your loss too. She was a brave kitty, didn't want to leave her, my mum couldn't afterward either, it's the hardest on her she was her cat really.

But yeah, we didn't want her to suffer and she's had a good life, better this than living longer in misery and discomfort.

I've onlu lost one kitty and I know how painful and devastating that is. Sometimes it's best to see them go like that, when all you can do is end their suffering. You know well how my own went, so yeah...I'd rather end their suffering in peace.

Doesn't make their loss any easier to bear, though, and I know it. *huggles*

So heartbreaking. T.T She was a gorgeous cat and clearly well-loved. I know the choice was hard, but it was the right one. I know she will always have a warm spot to curl up in in your heart. <3
